Terms and Conditions
Participation Eligibility
Participants must be aged 18 or over to attend sessions independently. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the session. If under-18s arrive unaccompanied, we are legally required to refuse participation, and unless we can re-fill your spaces, we will not be able to offer a refund.
By booking, you confirm that any under-18s will be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
For kayak and canoe trips, we recommend under-16s share a craft with an adult, as younger participants may struggle to complete the routes alone. If your group includes children of similar age and you're unsure how best to arrange it, please contact us in advance — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
---
Arrival & Start Times
Please arrive promptly at the scheduled start time. We allow an additional 30 minutes on top of session times (e.g. a 2-hour kayak trip runs for 2.5 hours) to allow for getting changed and completing paperwork.
If you are running late, contact us as soon as possible. However, we may not be able to wait, especially if it affects other customers or delays later sessions. If we have to start without you, we regret that we cannot offer a refund.
---
Cancellations & Changes by You
We are a small seasonal business and rely heavily on bookings. Late cancellations can have a significant impact. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
More than 7 days’ notice: Full refund (minus any non-refundable processing fees).
48 hours to 7 days’ notice: 50% refund, or up to 100% if we re-fill your places.
Less than 48 hours’ notice: No refund unless we re-fill your spaces.
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking.
> Note: Depending on how you paid, a 3–5% transaction fee (e.g. PayPal or card processing) may be deducted from your refund. This is not retained by us — it is charged by the payment provider and is non-refundable.
---
Cancellations by Us
If we need to cancel your session for any reason (e.g. weather or safety), we will issue a full refund, including any transaction or PayPal fees.
While we aim to give as much notice as possible, conditions can change rapidly and cancellations may occur at short notice. We do not cover costs for travel, parking, accommodation or other personal expenses if your session is cancelled.
Refunds typically take 3–5 working days but may take longer depending on your bank or payment provider.
---
Parking
Please ensure you buy enough time on your parking ticket, including time to get changed after the session, as this is not included in the extra 30 minutes we allow.
We recommend adding at least 30 minutes to 1 hour extra to your parking. Sessions sometimes overrun slightly due to conditions or group pace.
> Important: Local car parks operate camera-based ANPR systems, so you cannot overstay. If paying via app, make sure to select the correct car park:
Field car park: Porthmissen Car Park
Shop car park: Trevone Beach Car Park
These are run by separate owners — selecting the wrong one will result in a fine.
We cannot accept responsibility for any parking fines.

Health & Fitness
Our activities — kayaking, canoeing, and coasteering — are physical and may be demanding, especially on routes from Trevone Bay.
You must be in good general health and reasonably fit to participate.
If you have any medical conditions or concerns, contact us in advance. We may require a doctor’s note or additional info. If we become aware of a health condition that could affect your safety, we may not be able to take you on certain routes. If this is within 7 days of your session, refunds may not be possible.
Participants are required to complete a health declaration before joining. Please be honest — this helps us ensure your safety. In most cases, we can adjust plans if we know in advance.
---
Safety
All safety equipment — including wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and helmets — is provided and must be worn at all times during the session.
You will receive a safety briefing and instruction on how to use the equipment correctly. If any kit is removed (e.g. to use the toilet), it must be refitted and checked by your instructor before continuing.
---
During Your Session
Please follow all instructions given by your instructor. This is for your safety, the safety of others, and to protect the local environment and wildlife.
Failure to comply may result in your session being terminated without refund.
---
Wildlife
We are fortunate to encounter a wide range of wildlife on our trips, but sightings are not guaranteed. We follow strict guidelines to minimise disturbance to wildlife and ask that participants do the same.
---
Weather
We constantly monitor conditions to ensure safety. Please be aware that we often still operate in rain or choppy seas, and if conditions are deemed safe by the instructor, you will be expected to attend or risk forfeiting your session without refund.
If the sea and weather conditions allow we will aim to run the activity from Trevone (unless otherwise stated). If it is not safe the session may be run from Padstow instead. When booking you are booking a kayaking session (not a guaranteed location). Refunds cannot be given if the venue changes.
If the conditions are unsafe at both venues, we will cancel and offer you the choice of:
An alternative activity (where possible)
Rescheduling
A full refund
---
Risk Acceptance
While we operate to high safety standards, all adventure activities carry an inherent level of risk. By booking, you accept this.
Activities can be physically demanding, and you are responsible for ensuring that you are fit and healthy enough to participate. If in doubt, please consult your GP before booking.

Photos & Videos
We occasionally take photos and videos during sessions for promotional purposes. If you do not want to appear in these, please let us know before your session.
By accepting these terms, you grant us permission to use any images taken during your session for marketing unless we are told otherwise.
